WINE SPECTATOR – primeurs : 89-92 –
Gorgeous Jonagold apple, dried pineapple, heather and toasted macadamia nut aromas and flavors meld, with a long brioche note underscoring the finish. Very flattering, but also shows sneaky cut and length. Impressive. Drink now through 2018.

Decanter – primeurs : 16,75/20
Not as successful as the red perhaps in this vintage, but still plenty of enjoy – vibrant, soft creamy citrus, gentle toasting, good persistency. Jane Anson.

WINE SPECTATOR : 93 – James Molesworth (march 2015)
Gorgeous Jonagold apple, dried pineapple, heather and toasted macadamia nut aromas and flavors meld, with a long brioche note underscoring the finish. Very flattering, but also shows sneaky cut and length. Impressive. Drink now through 2018.

WINE SPECTATOR– James Molesworth – primeurs: 90-93
Tangerine, nectarine, fennel and yellow apple flavors give this a broader, slightly bolder feel, while melon rind and blanched almond notes add texture and definition to the finish. Very solid.

THE WINE DOCTOR– Chris Kissack – primeurs: 16-17/20
A very fine purity to the fruit on the nose here, ripe Sauvignon fruit, pear especially, with an overlay from the smoky, sandy-gravelly minerals of Léognan. The palate is lovely, showing the flesh of the ripe fruit, with bright citrus and apricot fruit complexity, with vibrant energy from the acidity, which sits very nicely within the substance of the wine. Very good indeed.

Château Brown white

2012

Blend: 64% Sauvignon Blanc 36% Semillon

Production: 19,200 bottles

LA REVUE DU VIN DE France – primeurs: 15-16/20
Vinified in barrels (50% new for 8 months of maturing), this combination of 65% Sauvignon and 35% Semillon forms a very nicely scented white with a hint of smokiness. Its pleasantly sugary finish makes for a rounded sensation and good fruity expression.

BETTANE ET DESSEAUVE: 15/20
We like the harmonious bouquet with its rich fruit, spices and great minerality, the hints of limetree and fresh almonds, the full, fleshy sensation on the palate and excellent vivacity. A beautifully full-bodied, well-balanced wine.

WINE SPECTATOR – James Molesworth: 92 points
A pretty tale hint leads off, giving way to tarragon, straw and lemon curd flavors. Turns broader and gentler on the finish, revealing an underlying note of paraffin that adds a caressing edge. Drink now through 2017.

DECANTER : Highly Recommended 17-18.25 pts (90-94 pts)
Citrus-dominated with yellow fruits on the nose and palate. Displays good concentration and ample zest and flair. Ripe acidity gives a long finish that is both balanced and stylish. Drink 2015-2022.
