It is quite a coincidence that Château BROWN (named after John Lewis Brown) should find itself at Lullebrooke Manor (property of the “John Lewis” brand) in Cookham, Berkshire.
At a Masterclass held in its Odney Club on 18 February, a selection of Bordeaux wines was presented to some thirty students approaching the end of their Master of Wine course. They did a blind tasting of six different vintages of Château Brown and Château Sociando-Mallet, ranging from 2004 to 2010. The Masterclass for these future graduates was led by our partner Richard Bampfield, himself a Master of Wine.
